What in the world are all those acronyms on the Board?  A language that every CrossFitter all over the world understands and knows how to properly complete. Don’t get overwhelmed, you will soon find the CrossFit slang and abbreviations will be your newly learned language.

AMSU:Ab Mat Situps
AMRAP: As Many Reps (or Rounds) as Possible
BJ: Box Jumps
BFB: Bar Facing Burpee
OBB: Over Bar Burpee
BP: Bench Press
BrP: Burpee
BS: Back Squat
BW: Body Weight
CF: CrossFit
CFT: CrossFit Total – consisting of max squat, press, and deadlift
CLN: Clean
C&J: Clean and Jerk
DL: Deadlift

DNF: Did not finish
DU’s: Double-Unders Jump Ropes
FS: Front Squat
EMOTM: Every Minute on the Minute
HPC: Hang Power Clean
HPS: Hang Power Snatch
HSPU: Hand stand Push Up
HSC: Hang Squat Clean
JPU: Jump-Pullup
KB: Kettlebell
K2E: Knees to Elbows
MB: Medicine Ball

MU: Muscle up
HSPU: Muscle Up Handstand Pushup
OH: Overhead
OHS: Overhead Squat
PC: Power Clean
Pd: Pood, weight measure for kettlebells
PR: Personal Record
PP: Push Press
PSN: Power Snatch
PsU: Push-Ups
PU: Pull-Ups
Rep: Repetition – One performance of an exercise

Rx’d: As prescribed; as written – WOD done without any adjustments
RM: Repetition maximum. Your 1RM is your max lift for 1 rep. Your 10 RM is the most you can lift 10 times.
SDHP: Sumo deadlift high pull
SN: Snatch
SQ: Squat
SqC: Squat Clean
SU’s: Single Unders
TAR: Tarken’s always right
TGU: Turkish get-up
TTB: Toes to bar
T2B: Toes to bar
WoD: Workout of the Day
