Running Endurance: Week of 9/6/21

The Vermont Remembers 9/11 Run is coming up this week so we wanted to take an easier/longer run in preparation. Each year we have some 802 members that participate, and others that volunteer to cheer and pass out water at the end of Morse Drive. If you are interested, chat with Keith so he can connect you with other runners. The race begins at 9:11AM and all proceeds go to the National Guard Fallen Heroes Memorial Fund. There Is a 11 and 5k option. If you DO NOT wish to run, join us at the end of Morse Drive around 9:30am to pass out water and cheer! If you DO wish to run, Keith lent some advice on distance and guidance to those that are wondering If they should do the ruck.... "Have you been training the last 4-6 weeks with a ruck/vest? Do you have a solid mileage base built without a vest/ruck? Mileage base should be no less than 10-15 miles per week for the last 4-6 weeks. If you answered no to either of these, then you should not run this with a vest/ruck. You can most certainly run the 11 or 5k without wearing a vest/ruck."To sign-up and find out more Information:https://runsignup.com/Race/VT/Colchester/VermontRemembers
