Tempo training is all about moving slowly and under control. By lifting to a set tempo, you will increase your time under tension compared to standard lifting tempo. Tempo training is a great way to get the same stimulus as lifting heavy but without actually having to do so.The decent will take 0:03 - You will pause for 0:01 in the hole - stand up in 0:01 - pause at the top for 0:02 before going into the next rep.
